With the renovation of FOX32’s WFLD Chicago newsroom & support spaces, and construction of new executive offices, GARNETT’s design celebrates the vibrant and frenetic qualities of the news industry while still providing private and contemplative areas for respite. The first and second floor renovation includes digital studios, edit suites, private and collaborative workspaces, conference rooms, phone rooms, a modern café nook, and strategically located coffee stations. The addition of exterior windows overlooking the newsroom and the liberal use of glass partitions throughout the space added transparency and natural light to the entire space and highlighted all the interactions and activity of that make WFLD’s environment so unique.
